Renal Disease Intervention Project

Automatic Inflation Monitors With Fuzzy Logic

The function of the Renal Disease Intervention Project is to identify and to provide home visits to persons at risk for developing End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) due to diabetes and/or hypertension.

A registered nurse provides counseling, referral and educational services to these persons in order to improve their understanding of the disease process, diet, medications and appropriate lifestyle modification. A degreed social worker and registered dietician are also available as needed to consult with the patients.

The goal of this program is to improve quality of life and delay progression of complications.
