The Maternal and Child Health
(MCH)
section focuses upon providing preventative health care service to
residents in Hamilton County.
These services are provided in collaboration with other Health
Department services to:
1) help ensure that every individual gets a healthy start in life and
2) assists each individual to
reach and maintain an optimum level of health into adulthood.
Services include:
Well
child exams (EPSDT Exams)
Childhood
immunizations
Routine
newborn genetic screenings
(PKU, Sickle Cell Anemia,
Thalasemmia,
Hypothyroidism, Biotinidase Deficiency)
WIC
Breast-feeding
consultation (Best Start Program)
Contraceptive
care
(Pregnancy
testing, Family Planning and emergency
contraception).
Prenatal
care
Examination
for Pediculosis (Head Lice)
Fees:
Fees are charged for all MCH services, however services may be
discounted based upon your family size and income (sliding scale fee).
