Public Information Officer (423) 209-8238 The Public Information Officer serves as a liaison between the media and health department personnel. The PIO helps health department personnel raise public awareness about health issues that affect the community and assists news organizations with media and interview requests. The PIO is also the contact person for all health fair requests.
Health Promotion and Wellness (423) 209-8242 Public Health Educators provide outreach on the following topics: highway safety education, personal safety, evidence-based health promotion programs, cardiovascular disease prevention, tobacco education and control, and general wellness for Hamilton County employees.
Health Planning and Assessment (423) 209-8093 This office conducts ongoing community health data and information collection. Analyses activities to better understand and monitor the health status and needs of residents of Hamilton County.
Hamilton County Regional Health Council The RHC is made up of area residents who represent other health institutions and organizations such as hospitals, community health centers, and support groups for various health issues. It also includes people who represent area businesses, the school system, insurance industry, city and county government, and clergy. |
