Hamilton County's Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) Outreach Program is staffed by a supervisor, health educators, and part-time outreach workers. To ensure all TENNCare eligible children maximize their benefits, outreach workers conduct home visits, phone calls and other forms of communicaion to inform families of delinquent status.


TennCare provides free annual well-child check ups.
Call your primary care physician to schedule an appointment. If you do not have one, you may call your area health department for these services.


The WELL-CHILD CHECK-UP or EPSDT includes:

        Health History

        Complete Physical Examination

        Lab Tests (as needed)

        Immunizations

        Vision/Hearing Screening

        Developmental/Behavioral Screening (as needed)

        Advice on how to keep your child healthy


Make follow up appointments.
Visit your primary care physician and other health care professionals regularly.
