Nicotine Prevention & Cessation Program

Smoking continues to hold the title for the number one leading cause of preventable death in the US, yet millions are still daily smokers. The Hamilton County Health Department's Nicotine Prevention and Cessation Program (NPCP) is dedicated to helping those in the community who are ready to begin their journey toward a nicotine-free lifestyle. From educating the public to providing cessation resources, we are committed to helping YOU live a better life for yourself and your loved ones.

Pregnancy Smoking Cessation Program is a smoking cessation program created to reduce the use of tobacco products among pregnant women during their prenatal and postpartum period. Women who quit smoking during pregnancy are less likely to have premature and or low-birth-weight babies. Maintaining smoking cessation after the baby is born extends the positive health outcomes for women and their families by reducing the damaging effects of second and third-hand smoke. This results in healthier mothers and babies.
